Alec Steventon first established his photography business in Olton, Solihull, West Midlands in 1981 as a portrait, wedding and commercial studio, and soon gained a sound reputation for quality and service. Following training in Switzerland, Alec rapidly expanded into the world of large format commercial photography and by the end of the decade had added aerial photography, and commercial videography to his range of services. In the mid 1990s the first steps were taken on the digital imaging route, one of the first studios in the area to do so, enabling design and print services to be undertaken, as well as enhanced retouching skills. By the late 1990s the business had relocated to Knowle, Solihull, and completed the move to fully digital imaging. Today, digital images are captured using the latest equipment, viewed on the internet via Alec's own gallery website, printed in-house to exacting professional colour management standards, emailed, written to disc, FTP transferred over the internet, or incorporated into PDF presentations. Website design and production are the latest services to be added.

Joining Alec is his son Paul, a sound and recording engineer, and a musician in his own right. Not only does Paul produce images and video, he also writes and produces the multitracked musical backgrounds required for commercial video productions.
